I was against it when I heard about the new Hanakimi, because I thought "the first one is so awesome, who needs a new one with different actors?". Also, I would have understood if they wanted to shoot a remake after ten years or something, but the first one is still kind of recent! XD
I wanted to give it a chance anyway, so I watched the first episode: even if I wasn't expecting much to begin with, it was a huge disappointment for me. :/ I think Atsuko's a pretty good actress, but I don't like how Shohei plays Nakatsu and the new Sano doesn't convince me either. It's just the first cast, Toma in particular, and the way they acted is too hard to surpass - I'd say impossible. They just ended up being hollow imitations of the originals.
I'm not going to watch any more of it, I don't want to ruin my memory of Hanakimi.
Toma is the best Nakatsu ever. SO TRUE. He was the best thing in the entire drama! ♥
