i had a big crush on my philosophy class TA.
he was a nice and quiet person and was probably 20-something. he had blonde hair, wore glasses, was tall and thin. he was cute in a low key way. ~_~ 1 of the few times i had a crush on a not asian person (but i had plenty if we're talking about actors/singers! xD).
every week, we had to meet him in a small classroom to discuss what we had learned in the lecture hall. but then one day he mentioned how he cut his finger while cutting flowers from the garden for his wife. T___T sighhhhh. but it's not like i was gonna ask him out or anything, anyway. i was just kind of disappointed. he looked too young to be married, you know?

5 years? Yep! My hubby is 4 years older than me. :-)
5 years younger? Would be a little weird, my baby brother is 5 years younger than me. But on the other hand, if he were the right guy, 5 years wouldn't matter much. :-)

The oldest guy i have ever dated was ... 1 year older, and i always think of him as belonging to the same age-group. the youngest guy i dated was 3 years younger. and i did have a crush on someone who's almost 9 years younger than me. for me biological age does not matter, it's the mental age that counts
in this case not too childish, but yet still keep the childishness somewhere.toma is younger than me too... but the youngest guy i would date in johnny's would be kato shigeaki, never found anyone younger than him in the agency to be interesting.

hmm... it seems like most people here like guys older than them, so i'm glad to see a different opinion! no, i agree with you! age doesn't matter, as long as you get along with them (and they're not underage or really way too old for you. lol).
toma is also younger than me! xD and ezra (ian harding) who i have a crush on right now is a few years younger than toma. lol. though he looks older than both toma and i! so you can't always go by their age...
besides toma, i don't think i'm really attracted to any johnnys guys younger or older than me. but i like chinen yuri, but in a completely non-romantic way. he's just so cute!! and he often looks like a girl. hahaha...

(but not all are like this of course) Since I have been brought up that way, I don't see myself ever having the feeling to want to date a teacher :) That doesn't mean I can't have crushes right? :P But, that chem. one was the only one :(
My brother is 5 years older, and we get along well, but can't say the same about everybody.. I would be more comfortable with someone within 3-4 years.. but you can never say.. :) younger by 5 years? or even by 1? no way :D

Date: 2012-08-25 07:22 pm (UTC)ohhh. i see. i guess it's cuz teachers in the usa aren't more respected like in japan or other asian countries. lol. and the teacher/student relationship is quite casual. it's not like teachers dating students is ok here, but i would imagine it happens a lot more than in asian countries.
i think age is not that important to me when choosing who to date...i would be fine with someone 5+ older or younger. i mean, as long as you get along and have the same interests, it should be fine.

Of course there are lot of exceptions to this.. I know people who have 7-8 years of age gap and get along better than so many! ultimately it's what your heart says, age or anything else doesn't matter, right? :)

and from what i read, people say that ezra fitz in the tv show is much better than the book version!! seems like he was kind of a jerk/pervert in the book? lol.

Hmm..in the book i find him really charming! though if i remember correctly (I read it quite a long time ago xD) he did backstabbed her in the end. But i dont know if he really did or its A's doing. Around the end of the book he appeared again and they were together again for a while, but by then i had kinda turn my support to Noel..or is it Sean?? (the bf Aria had then xDD)
I know the TV version is totally different from the book? or they do keep to the main plot?? one difference I know is Spencer/Toby XD

Women usully date older guys but I think mentalities gonna change . My mother is married to 9 year old younger guy, and honestly the difference of age doesnt strike anyone.
I wouldnt mind date a 5 year old guy or more, but not now because it will be illegal ...
off topic : I'm so happy to hang out on LJ again , I was more in KPOP phase lately but people who like KP are like so young (15 or so). But here people are more of my age I think...
