is going on right now. i only know cuz my siblings are soccer fans + hacken (HK singer), from my previous fandom, is one of the hosts for a sports show covering the championship. xD any soccer fans here?? who are you rooting for?? :D

i saw so many cosplayers at a small anime convention recently. it was pretty cool to see so many ppl cosplaying!! some very authentic/expensive-looking costumes. *_*

i guess the 1st time i ever cosplayed was as mizuki back then, and then most recently, as a neko girl last year. lol... just by myself for fun. xD

a friend of mine is helping our city host a mini-convention here. i don't know how often they've had the convention, but it sounds like its the first time. they're calling it "kentoykocon", combining "kentucky", "tokyo" and "convention". i think its kawaii! ^^

he also hosts an anime group called "bluegrass otaku" that i go to every now and then. sometimes i play games (i played final fantasy games, including ff11... wonder if i ever came across toma and didn't realize! :o lol!). i'm actually not that into anime or manga. but i think the experience and the people are very fun! and i'll always love "hana kimi" for getting me into toma and japanese culture. its the only manga i've ever read all the way through, by complete chance, and the manga brought me to the show.

i've only ever cos-played one thing, and that was harry potter, haha! i dressed up for midnight book releases and movie releases, but that's all.

oh, and since i'm not really an anime/manga fan, i just said "no" even though i have been to events, lol! even though its fun, its just not my thing. ^^

wow, your friend must really love anime. ^^ actually, i'm like that too. i'm not into anime, but i like to read random manga sometimes. i just went to the convention to see cosplayers + japanese stuff + check out deviantart ppl's art. the experience is definitely unique and fun! xD

I used to go to a small one which was local to me (hosted by tokyo pop, hence why they've stopped... ¬.¬) I think the last person I went as was Namine from Kingdom Hearts 2 >.< It was FREEEEZING!!!!! (middle of winter in a nightie... bad ideaaaaa!!!)

I go to one, a few years in a row now. And I do cosplay there.
I'm not really a full-action cosplayer though, I try something easy, mainly because you kinda look out of place at the convention if you don't. and I would know because at my first convention me and my friend were the only two people who weren't dressed up. We stood out xD

omggg!! literally EVERYONE but you two dressed up? that's kind of amazing, though!! luckily at the small convention i went to, it was sort of half in costume, half not, or else it would be embarrassing.

Everyone. We were referred to as 'those two who didn't dress up' and then everyone knew who we were xD. After that we decided to dress up the year after ~~but then not everyone was dressed up any more, because they had changed location to a less secluded place xD~~

Yeah, I think that was the reason. Plus, it was smaller then, then it's now, and most people that were there had been there before. As it get;s bigger, more people don't cosplay (for example because it's there first time, like with me xD)
Now it's back to being really secluded, so I'm guessing more people will cosplay again xD

Last few week there's anime festival,which is held on the same day for Toma fangirls gthering..
My friend ask me to join that festival..he even told me,that I could meet butler..lol,but..I couldnt join him.too tired..I dont like cosplayer thing

portugal? hopefully they have not been eliminated then. i dunno much about soccer, but i like the england team cuz they are hacken's favorite team. ~_~

even though i'm not really an anime/manga fan, and the only manga i've read completely, like zolalupin, is Hana Kimi, and that too, completely by chance! :D It was like destiny to have met Toma through Hana Kimi and become his fan ^_^
I would like to try and cosplay though, but I guess there is no way that'll happen in my country! :-/ most of us don't even know what cosplay means...

i only bought 1 volume of hana kimi but i never tried to read the whole thing online. lol. i don't have much interest in manga, but i guess sometimes i read some sexy love story manga online. lol. usually they are pretty short too, which is great, cuz i don't have the patience for stories that go on too long. xD

aww. =/ i'm sure there must be some ppl interested in cosplay there...you should try googling it and maybe you can meet up with other ppl and cosplay sometime. or else you can always cosplay by yourself, like me. lol.

yeah i guess i should try cosplaying sometime too... :D

I have a friend from Uni days who cosplays. She's semi-pro at it. She keeps encouraging me to come down to one of her conventions. I'd love to sometime.

sometimes the most important thing you need is just the right color wig! hehe.

I went to an event once just because I saw it. haha. I like watching anime but was never really into cosplaying. I find it interesting at times but not to the point that I wanted to cosplay myself and join the convention.

I liked coming to Jfest/Jpop and Eiga Sai though. Currently, the Jpop/Jartists fanclubs here in my country are gathering and are planning for another event. I'm wishing it to be a success. :D

oh wow! jfest/jpop events! we don't have anything like that here, but i'd go to one if they had it! ^^ well, i just like going to any fun, japanese-related event... =P
