[off-topic/personal] Anyone want to meet up in Japan?

I was thinking of going to Japan for the 1st time ever this November... Toma's Grasshopper movie will be released Nov.7!! And fall is my favorite time of year, so I hope I can see the fall leaves... Does anyone want to come with me? Lol. I thought it would be fun if I went with a Toma fangirl or a lot of Toma fans go at the same time I'm going. Might be kind of expensive for some people, but If you decide to go with someone, can split the cost of hotel room and maybe food... I posted about my plans at my livejournal, so you can go there for more details. I'm not 100% sure I will be able to go, but I just want to see if anyone is maybe interested in going too?

My sister is going to Japan around the end of January (2016), so I probably will go with her then and will not go in November anymore. I hope Grasshopper will still be showing in theaters by then?? Sad that I won't be able to see the fall leaves but I probably wouldn't see much anyway, in November...

I live in Japan and within commuting distance to Tokyo. Might be busy in November, but I might be able to steal a day for a small fan-meet and watch the movie together. It's more fun than going alone ^^

Hey, I also cannot go during November (I have to work)
But I'll be in JP during summer from the 19th of July until the 19th of August.

I'll be in Kobe the first three weeks and travel to Tokyo afterwards.
I am actually hoping to catch Yokukahan (or what the name was...)...
So... if anyone is there and wants to go or simply wants to meet^^

Yokokuhan. lol. yeah, it's a tough one to remember the spelling. i always have to look it up. i want to watch this movie too, and i think i might even like it more than Grasshopper. but i want to go during the fall, so...

sounds like a nice, long trip! except i have to avoid traveling during summer cuz i think it's too hot and humid for me.

I have to wait until it's closer to November to decide. I only live about 30 minutes away from Tokyo and go quite often to see my friends, so it's normal for me. If I have something going on though, I can't say for sure if I can go or not.

Hm, usually there are no autumn leaves out yet in early November. You might want to go to a higher spot to see some (e.g. Nikko, Mt. Takao if you're in Tokyo or Mt. Koya if you're in Osaka). ^^

I like the idea of a fan meet up. Except that I was in Japan last November, lol. Guess I showed up for the meeting a little too early! (And also left just before Miracle came out, so I kind of missed that.)

I was thinking about going back again next March, probably. If anyone else is thinking about that, too. Although, I certainly can't think of anything Toma-related at that time! ♥

thanks for the tips! yeah, i know. i did some research and figured i probably wouldn't see any in tokyo. but i am going to kyoto and omura, too. i think i might be able to see them at their peak in omura, at least...maybe.

Mt. Koya is a day trip from Kyoto. I've been there once in early November and autumn colors were already out there. :)
Not sure about Omura.
What I always do is checking the autumn leave forecast to find some places nearby that already have fall foliage. :D

yeah, i will! if the forecast is similar to last year, then i probably will be able to see some. was thinking of going early nov. and staying 2 weeks. but maybe i'll move it back a bit, so i can stay until near the end of november. i just want to avoid flying back during the big thanksgiving weekend.
